Does anyone know if we have gotten the word out and the mail bags are full. He has a national base, if informed; I can't but believe we will donate again.

23. IIRC...
...no Congressman serves "at large," but represents a particular district, in DK's case, the Cleveland, Ohio area.

6. Ohio, PLEASE forgive us for borrowing your Congressman!
We really NEEDED him to remind us all of WHY most of us are DEMOCRATS! He is the most honest voice out there, and he really knows a lot about many things. It is obvious from his speeches and interviews that he really has read every bill he was supposed to read, before voting on it (plus usually some solid background research on it). Every time he quotes something I have read, he quotes it accurately and WITH DETAILED CITATION. Furthermore,I never heard any other politician broadcast the wisdom of Frederick C. Howe, that truly GREAT Ohio political writer and activist! Obviously, you Ohio guys have always been SMART and GUTSY! And you must surely still be smart and gutsy, to send a guy like Dennis Kucinich to Washington.
If you keep Dennis Kucinich in Washington, this just HAS to raise the prestige of Ohio. Plus, we are returning him to you in good condition! We promise to stop trying to elect him President, and we'll content ourselves with occasional bits of his Ohio wisdom in the news. He'll start attending your local events again, HONEST! Then you'll have his best efforts again! And we'll have enough sanity in the U.S. Congress to keep our country from the worst outrages.

8. Not always possible
"he really has read every bill he was supposed to read, before voting on it "

Sometimes bills are presented as a finished product and nobody gets to read them before voting begins. Yes, that really does happen.

But when it's at all possible Kucinich reads them where many others don't. The best line of the debates so far, on why he voted against the PATRIOT Act, "That's because I read it."

S L A M D U N K !

I disagree with Kucinich on some things, but I really wish he'd had a chance to win the nomination.

If for no other reason than to give Dick Cheney a big shitburger to eat in November.

But also because Dennis stands up for democratic principles, not just the Democratic party.

11. Great Idea!
I supported Kucinich's run for President in 2004 but chose to back another candidate in 2008. But I will make a contribution for his Congressional reelection campaign for all the reasons sighted above. He is indeed a wonderful voice of sanity. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

We NEED to support Dennis NOW more than ever.

He is the one who has introduced articles of impeachment in a manner that actually worked.

Who, honestly, is any more progressive than Dennis?

30. Dennis to valuable in the Congress
some sub-cabinet postion, where he is told what to do. I'd rather him become a future Henry Waxman and perform a vitally needed role in the Congress. He is more than capable of being as dynamic voice as Henry Waxman.

22. FWIW...

...what committees does Rep. Kucinich chair (A: the Domestic Policy Subcommittee of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform)? Is that level of achievement commensurate with his peers in the class of 1997, or is he underachieving in Congress while spending an inordinate amount of time on these quixotic adventures running for President? Do you think it is possible that Cleveland Democrats want a little more bang for their buck?

I say if Cleveland can do better, she should.

26. If it's not clear to you that Kucinich
has been and continues to be disrespected and misrepresented by the Corporatists AND their shills within the political arena (e.g., many of Kucinich's peers), you are not paying attention. Dennis Kucinich, by his actions alone, highlights the dishonesty, hedonism, and partisan behaviors of many of his peers. People are seldom comfortable with someone whose actions and attitudes cast them in an unfavorable light. Add to that the M$M's relentless marginalization of Kucinich, and I'll bet you don't have an accurate picture of Dennis Kucinich at all.

Beyond my assertion herein above, I'd like to think that members of the Democratic Party will choose to avoid Rovian attack tactics with regards to members of our own Party. I would like to believe that we Democrats are above that kind of crass, tasteless and destructive behavior. Unfortunately, you and others like you seem to wallow in the Rovian shitfest promulgated daily by the M$M. You might want to consider the stench that surrounds you when you choose to play that game.

On Line, I just checked out our checking account at our bank. Our contribution has been transfered from our account to Dennis'. And I feel good . No one fights more for our well being than DK./ Hopefully our second check will arrive asap. I see Sean Penn will be in Cleveland Feb 17 for a Kucinich fundraiser. Wish so we could be there. / Willie Nelson, you are a Kucinich fan. You'd really help to top off the fundraiser with your great music. Sure would appreciate your help.
