Edited on Thu Dec-14-06 08:56 PM by Moochy
Disposable Heroes was Michael Franti's first band, He's now the singer and songwriter of Spearhead.
He does not wear shoes. :hippie:

thanks wikipedia for the picture.

8. Shame on me. I didn't know that.
I'm an avid listener of music, but I very slow to catch on to the band members and album titles.

You can bomb the world to pieces, but you can't bomb it into peace. He's another genius, like Herron.

Franti is awesome!

11. Wow.
I discovered Michael Franti relatively recently via his song, "Yell Fire!", but didn't know a thing about his earlier history.

I'm an even bigger fan now!

15. Yep. I'm on a generator now.
Trees down. But I'm ready. I have my monster generator in the back of my old 55 Chevy pickup. I just drive it up to the house and crank it up. I'm used to living without the benefit of power.

14. The Beatnigs recorded it in 1988
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CSdsYe1Nzpc

Michael Franti's earlier project The Beatnigs recorded it in 1988.
Both versions are great.

It had a lot more anger to it.
