Goalposts Moving Again: "The Winner of North Carolina Will Be the Nominee!" |
|
Thus says DLC King Harold Ford yesterday on one of the shows, Race 08, I think. No one corrected him on this. No one observed that this will be the 13th time that the goalposts have moved, or corrected anyone when they repeated that Hillary won Texas. Everyone seemed to think that yes, North Carolina is now the FIREWALL and is representative of the whole country and should indeed determine who the nominee is.
(I'm not posting in GDP until this insanity is over, so don't know if this has already been discussed)
Watch for it.. its the new meme, one of many !

1. This thing is getting to be like a comedy tv series. |
|
I mean really. "Tune in next week to see what that crazy Lucy and her guys will say next!"
Of course the media loves to see this particular tv series get extended--even over the summer. People like Tweety don't have much prep work to do--just pick up the paper and read the latest antics.
But maybe this is why Obama continues to raise so much money! Hope he can find ways to use it all--nice problem to have.

2. NC is a very strange choice for the Clinton campaign |
|
If that's where this new theme is really coming from. Why not Kentucky, say?

3. Supposedly, Clinton needs a win in "Obama's Territory"... and I guess |
|
Kentucky isn't. Go figure :-)

6. I'm finding Harold Ford a very annoying addition to MSNBC |
|
Edited on Fri Apr-04-08 03:13 PM by MBS
It galls me to have his pure-DLC outlook representing a supposedly "Democratic" voice. Listening to him, I'm finding myself not very sad that he didn't make it into the Senate.

9. As a Tennessean, I was upset at what was done to Ford when |
|
he ran here. I'm still upset about the disgusting racial tactics used, but not so upset he didn't win. Not at all.

7. They really need to put those goalposts on wheels |
|
This constant digging up and sticking back in the ground again process is wasteful.
