Communists in India say no to Wal Mart

The Communist Party of India has urged a retail business licensing system to prevent the entry of foreign players like Wal-Mart.

The Wal-Mart chain has been considering an equal joint venture with the Bharti group for a chain of stores in India's 300 billion dollar retail industry.

The sector is dominated by small family-run stores and is predicted to more than double in size by 2015.
