What if Bush is planning a Bio, not nuclear, attack on Iran's enrichment sites? |
|
We keep worrying about the US nuking Iran's enrichment sites. But what if that isn't the plan?
I don't know much about biological weapons, but wouldn't a bio-weapon neutralize a site by virtue of the fact that all the people would either be dead or be unable to go near it?
How long does "bio-fallout" last? Could Iran clean it up and continue using the site in a short about of time?

4. No because people could work in containment suits |
|
Equipment can be decontaminated, air purified, people can be in space suits basically. The equipment is most important. People can be replaced easier than another enrichment device built. Or they can just google information. The actual stuff of it is the important piece that would need to be destroyed.

6. Bio weapons are probably not containable |
|
Besides that, any nuclear, biological or chemical attack would be construed by the world as a clear war-crime. I doubt Bush would do anything that stupid, but then again he's surprised me on that front before.

You cannot control a biological agent once you release it, those people who work in the targeted sites as well as the towns around it would become infected. The towns people would panic and leave the area, spreading the infection to even more of the population of Iran and eventually the countries that surround it.
Yes they could clean it up, but it would be too late to stop the spread.

Hazmat suits could be worn in a bio attack.
