The media has a vested interest in keeping any well-informed, successful democratic guests from commenting on "our" field of candidates.

This is the ONE thing I fault Howard dean on. He should be setting up farm-teams of well-informed speakers/commentators and getting them OUT THER..everywhere..

4. This is a total money-grab and his reputation was in tatters before he wrote this book...

He was totally clueless as a political strategist, and now he 'reveals inside details' for which he has no documentation or verification --and which are in direct contradiction to known facts.

He deserves total condemnation by Democrats for what he is doing now, which is tearing down the candidates which he supposedly spent a major part of his life trying to get elected because they were the best choice.

I am waiting for Kerry to come out and blast him. Kerry knows the truth behind events Shrum purports to reveal in the book that Shrum is using to discredit Democrats. On the whole it appears from a brief overview of the book that Shrum places himself in a much higher position of power than he held, and he tries to 'remake' his position on issues with the benefit of hindsight.

Elizabeth Edwards shot him down on his fantasy retelling of an event that he believes showed Edwards was 'uncomfortable' around gays. This is just one example, and should open everyone's eyes to his lack of integrity.
