Edwards was ignored on the Q of troops getting medical care on return from Iraq even though...
He has been outspoken on getting the troops the care they deserve. We have numerous military bases in North Carolina and Edwards would have been the most appropriate candidate to address this issue.

Edwards' approach to ending the war and supporting the troops would change things not only for the troops but for their families --who often get lost in the discussion.

1. Every American, whether in the military or not, and if in the military,

whether returning from Iraq or not; deserves medical care.

The fact that The World's Only Superpower even screws over its returning vets and their families illustrates just how grotesque "the Land of the Free" has become.

Wake up, America. It's time to join the Twentieth Century on universal, single payer national health. Once that is accomplished, we can work on dragging the country into Twenty-first Century.

2. This prevented Edwards from explaining how he supports the troops in his campaign to end the war...
He is being painted by critics as 'not supporting the troops' by calling for them to be 'brought home now' and asking Congress to use the power of the purse to end the war.

It sure looks like someone did not want him to have the opportunity to address this topic.

4. "Support Our Troops" has become nothing more than
a catchphrase emblazoned on Chinese-made bumper stickers for gas-guzzling SUVs driven by fascists.

Anyone who believes Bush and his followers "support our troops" is an idiot.

3. I was totally floored
by Obama's take on the question of VA hospitals. Screw the quality of care, as long as the government can keep it cheap!

5. That might be a good standard of health care for members of Congress , the Supreme Court and
the Executive, though.
