Saw my first Romney for president bumpersticker
Driving on I30 toward Dallas. Two older white guys in an SUV, with two stickers, one on the back window and one on the bumper. I couldn't help but start laughing.

Imagine getting excited for Romney. These are bad times for the Repigs.

5. I couldn't help but notice two older white guys
Heck, I'm 45, so you must imagine how old they looked to me. It was just so typical, yet so hilarious.

7. Willard Mitt Romney
Now you know why he goes by his middle name.

"He was named after hotel magnate J. Willard Marriott, his father's best friend, and Milton "Mitt" Romney, a relative who played football for the Chicago Bears."

9. Appreciate your posts... the name wasn't bad for weatherman Willard Scott!
Will would be as good as Mitt, wouldn't it?

8. Well, our suburbs here are pretty insane
I guess I'll have to be on the lookout for signs in my religiously insane, rabidly right wing town of Rockwall.

6. His mother, Lenore, was passionate for the ERA, his father for civil rights.
George Romney was the kind of moderate Republican who will never be seen again. Lenore Romney was a feminist, even as a Mormon! We live in a different world today, and I for one question whether it's better. One thing for sure - Mitt has no core beliefs, and those he has adopted would shame his parents.

10. I remember George Romney, and always thought of him as a respectable
Republican and savior of American Motors.

11. Yes, there used to be some decent Republicans
They started disappearing around the time of Reagan. Wonder if we'll see that sort ever again in our lifetimes.

12. You may see it
I think after 2008, the neocons and the fundies will get the blame then the boot. Money types are not going waste money on a Republican Party run by insane people, so either the GOP will swing moderate or they will turn into the Whig party with a new party evolving(kind of a moderate/libertarian hybrid)
I know this isn't Jean Dixon stuff, but that is what I am feeling.
