And, oh, by the way, she has to the dentist today.

The Dentist, Sopranos, and Gonzo

I am off to the oral torture ctar for a good few hours today. Lucky for me, Dr. drill has a TV and VCR in the pain chamber and I am planning on making good use of it by brining the entire first season of the Sopranos.

- snip -

In the meantime, Alberto Gonzales will be symbolically drilled by Senate Democrats, (unless a the minority party will beat them to it), who will force a no confidence vote on an Attorney General who is more suitable as a Tony Soprano consiglieri than as the top law enforcement official of the country.

I keep saying, or rather asking, why does the Texas bar simply not disbar Gonzo given his - at the very least - unethical conduct? Why does Congress not remove him from office, given - at the very least - his inability to comprehend the Constitution?

I am surely going to ponder this on my way to Dr. drill, but as a lay back in that white chair, outfitted with a bevy of tools for causing pain, I will be watching the Sopranos' first season and thinking back on a time when thugs ran largely wild on the tube, not in our government.
