I'm sorry - despite him trying to look like a Democrat, I'm not buying his act for one second. All it shows is that he knows how to read public opinion. The man is a career Repug.

2. ummm .... any more context to this?
Was he addressing the devastation that just took place from the storm/tornado? Not to defend a Bush, but some times urgency outranks formality.

a disaster address?

4. Well, as a Hurricane Andrew survivor...
and by suvivor, I mean exactly that, I was almost killed in it.. not someone who evacuated and came back a week later and says they survived the hurricane... I wouldn't care if the Governor had rolled out of bed and made a statement in his underwear. You're dealing with a lot of panic stricken and grief stricken residents who want and need answers and leadership right now, not an hour from now.

How many would attack him, saying he took the time to get dressed up, primped and preened for the cameras and a photo-op?

just sayin'....

:hi:

5. What is your problem?
this is a damn emergency going on here in Fl.How idiotic is your statement! Sometime DU posters are unbelieably ignorant! Should all the thousand of people from gov and state agencies dress for you satisfaction?

6. I'm impressed with his response time and his immediate grasp of
this tragic situation. I don't give a hoot what he wears, he's there, he's a comfort to those poor people. He's said that whatever $$ is required, they will have it. Let's wait and see and give him a break....

Worrying about your tie in the middle of a natural disaster response?
