For all the talk that Dem's hate Hillary, she sure got a great response |
|
At the DNC winter meeting.
I know she has a lot of faults but I don't think she's as hated as we think she is.
BTW, I really enjoyed Obama and Edward's speeches.

11. Iowa is not representative of Democrats as a whole either. |

It's lilly-white and teachers are over-represented.
We still love 'em, but it's not indicative of Democrats on a national level.

Because once she gets trounced and ends up in third in that first primary caucus she will be deep in the hole going into New Hampshire. Ask Howard Dean how hard of a hole that it to crawl out of.

4. Name me one DUer who's ever said he/she "hates" Sen. Clinton. |

I know plenty who don't think she'd make a good President, and others who don't care for her record as a Senator, but I'm at a loss to find one who actually "hates" her.

We think we are reflective of the party at large, but on the whole our members are far to the left of the mainstream Democratic party and its members.

I don't hate or even dislike Hillary Clinton, and if she's the nominee I'll be out there screaming for her election, but all of her hawkish talk on Iran lately has soured me on her quite a bit.

28. Yep - and why McAuliffe has spread meme about both Gore and Kerry as the |
|
worst campaigns.
Putting all blame on them and not his poorly run DNC that failed to secure the election process for both candidates who would be in office today but for McAuliffe's failure to secure the election process in states like Florida and Ohio BEFORE the votes were even cast and in too many cases, were LOST and stolen.

32. I'm sorry, but they did indeed suck as candidates. |
|
Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of both of them. But they were terrible campaigners. They both too often came off as being stiff and impersonal whenever they tried to speak. Once in awhile they would relax and let enough personality through to make it sound good, but no, they weren't really good campaigners. More's the pity, but you can't blame it on Terry McAuliffe just because you've got a vendetta going with him.

frm election fraud and the targetted state strategy that weakened the party infrastructure in too many states over the last ten years before Dean tossed it into the trash where it belonged.
Neither Gore or Kerry made mistakes in their campaigns that were INSURMOUNTABLE. Kerry swept the debates decisively but the DNC was not prepared for any serious increase in voter turnout for Democrats. DNC had EXPECTED to lose and PROVED it with their neglect of so many crucial states like Ohio.
McAuliffe's failure to secure the election process WAS an INSURMOUNTABLE mistake that lost the vote count just as it would have for even a near-perfect candidate.

24. You are right, the establishment loves her |
|
and, for the most part I think most Democrats at least kinda like her. Where she is hated is on the right and by many of those who know nothing of politics whatsoever but have heard bits and pieces of the 12 year hate campaign effectively waged against her.
I wouldn't judge America's electorate by the behavior of some seriously hard-core Dems in the heady setting such as this. That would be the epitome of folly IMO.

35. The only time I hear Hater -- |
|
The Media are the Original Clinton Haters and since they do not believe in Redemption they have never forgiven Bill for his zipper problem and Hillary for Not"killing "him.
The Media successfully roiled up the RW and there are the Clinton Haters.(Republicans)
For the most part Democrats for the most part like her but have misgivings about her various positions on Issues. Some fear she cannot win because of the real Clinton Haters. Among many Republicans, Hillary and her strong personality is a threat. A lot of Democrats simply support other Candidates.
When I hear Hillary Hater I think RWingers.
