HERE WE GO AGAIN--It should be illegal to be a repuke |
|
The repuke party is nothing more and nothing less than an organized crime syndicate.
If illegal wiretapping, lying us into war, gutting the Constitution, torture, no-bid war profiteer contracts, the K Street-Abramoff crimes, outing CIA agents, killing Japanese civilians so campaign donors can have a submarine joyride, Enron, etc., etc. weren't enough,
Lurita Doan's "testimony" is all the proof we need.
Round them up. Let the tribunals begin ......... eventually.

know better than to use a phrase like "people on the far left" - its use betrays your real position. You have to get better at regurgitating the Faux catch-phrases.

The GOP is clearly a criminal enterprise. Crime. Remember the concept of "crime"? Acts that are forbidden by law? When groups of people conspire to commit crimes, they are considered to be a criminal organization. It is ILLEGAL to belong to a criminal organization. The repukes clearly are an organized crime syndicate hiding under the cover of a "political" party.

So my sister and her family are a bunch of evangelical Christians (her husband is actually a Baptist minister) and naturally, die hard Republicans. Politically we disagree about basically everything, and Thanksgivings are filled with wonderful arguments. Now, since they are apparently members of a "criminal enterprise", I have to ask, is it your plan to round up my sister and her family?
Just asking...

29. no, but the RNC and GOP should be shut down |
|
and membership therein should be illegal. The GOP is far worse than the Crips or the Mafia. their leaders should be held accountable for the crimes against humanity that they have perpetrated--EXACTLY as civilized people have done with previous such criminals.
Once the rule of law is reinstated and applied once again to phony "political" organizations, membership in the GOP will be illegal. Then, if your family members persist in participation in a criminal conspiracy, they should be prosecuted.

A thread that suggests we should round up all the people in a particular political party is not a "political" thread.
Then you claim that because I disagree with you, I must either be stupid or a disruptor.
I can't decide if you are deliberately trying to be funny or not. I'm afraid to ask...

39. being a member of a criminal enterprise should be a crime, should it not? |
|
I'm not talking about casting a legal vote for a (then) legal candidate, although there is a debt of conscience owed by anyone who supports evil policies.
The GOP has shown itself to be engaged in a pattern of felonies:
bribery
election fraud
theft
violations of the Hatch Act
and worse.
I believe there is sufficient evidence to pursue the RNC and GOP under the RICO statutes. Such prosecution would likely find not only that many individuals within those gangs are in violation of numerous laws, but that the the RNC and GOP are indeed criminal enterprises. Then, anyone supporting them would be in violation of the law. The idiots who still consider themselves "republicans" would have to form new political parties or become Democrats or Greens or Nazis or whatever.

Right. Fighting fascism with fascist tactics is just the same stupid thing. That post sounded like it came from a fascist - "round them all up" "a trial... eventually." If you replaced "Republican" w/"Democrat" in that quote, everyone would be outraged at the obvious fascism & authoritarian sentiments. It's a nice reminder that left-wingers can express & believe the same shit that they're fighting against.

what part of "criminal enterprise" don't you understand?
I think there is abundant--overwhelming even--evidence that the RNC and GOP have engaged in a systematic conspiracy to commit and cover up crimes. The only difference between the republican party and the Crips is that the repukes have killed far more people and caused much greater harm to communities.

This was a conspiracy to commit a pattern of felonies. The party itself, not just the individuals, is a criminal enterprise and should be shut down.
The party also has recruited thieves like Doan and placed them into positions in which they can most effectively steal from the public treasury. Again, conspiracy to commit crimes.

But "impeachment is off the table" ... so we effectively have AMNESTY for criminality and corruption at the highest levels of our government.
When BOTH 'sides' of the federal government apologize and permit corruption in governance apparently due to belonging to an elite "political class" ... we're truly and deeply fucked.
As an independent liberal, I personally regard partisanship as an inherently corrupting influence. Much of what I see bears out that opinion.

For example, the RNC conspired with criminals in the White House to use RNC computers to circumvent the Hatch Act. This is a felony (in fact, a long series of hundreds of felonies). The "party" is engaged in an ongoing pattern of criminal activity and should be shut down.

I'm sure you're exactly right, we'd find a LOT of illegal activity. I just wonder if we wouldn't find the same thing in the Democratic party. As bad? Probably not. Bad? Probably. We've got one senator indited by a grand jury already and while I'm an innoncent until proven guilty kind of guy, the evidence against Jefferson is looking pretty solid. If you're going to start treating political parties as people and find them guilty of crimes, you'd best check to make sure the party your standing with (be it Demcorats, Greens, Libertarians, whoever) isn't guilty of the same or you might find yourself sharing a cell with a repbulican.
