Just incredible. He knows damn well he's breaking the law, and I'm so tired of him using 911 as a prop, and even more tired of his bullshit "The Amercian people expect me to protect them" crap.

7. Yeah, that finger pointing and trying to intimidate
is, I'm sure, just the tip of the iceberg for the way the guy acts behind closed doors. And you can see the anger set in when he's confronted on an issue. He doesn't have the intelligence to counterattack on facts, so he just starts getting mad.

23. That really struck me too. If this was any ordinary office,
sticking your finger at someone's chest would get you smacked upside the head.

I don't like Lauer, but I have to give it to him this time for sticking to his questions and a superhuman amount of restraint.

13. I know its only
a pipe dream but wouldn't it have been priceless for Lauer to have said: sorry Mr President the one who is wrong on that is YOU, its NOT YOUR job to protect ANYONE, your job is to protect the Constitution, not only are you doing a miserable job of protecting Americans your destroying the very Constitution you supposed to protect as well! Is once in a lifetime too much to ask for, to see some so called News person stand up to the BS and confront a President like that, someone far enough along in their career so that Bu$hCo can't destroy it?

30. "Invading people's space" seems like a Bush standard strategy.
From individual reporters, to sovereign countries, the Bush game plan is to invade their space. Bush pressing on Lauer, and Lauer not budging, is the subtext of this encounter.

31. It's all compensation for the Wimp Factor plus his shame:
He'll always be the 9/11 President. No matter how pugnacious he acts. No matter how many countries he invades. He was the one who went on vacation for a month instead of reading the Presidential briefing titled "Bin Laden Determined to Strike in US"

28. Lauer should have poked his finger back- into Bush's chest.
Bush is such a pathetic ass.

As Bush tries to suck the intelligence out of the interview with his torrent of words, he completely fails to see that a pathetic liar he is.

The man ain't nothing but a con job

And his body language (always putting his hands on people- in some kind of primate dominance behavior) is also revealing of his insecurity.

That is so insulting. It's creepy and imposing and just outright inappropriate.

I just wish someone would tell him to stop this base fearmongering and speak like an adult for 5 minutes. And when he says his job is to "protect you"... god, I just wish I was the interviewer. I'd ask him which part of his oath included a promise to protect me.

His job is to uphold the Constitution. He has not done his job.
