WE should just get the hell out of Iraq |
|
And before Lieberman or cheney start another war with Iran .
The hell with time lines and these weak kneed politicians from both sides unless they want to go over there and bring bush along and meet their damn goals of finish the job whatever they want to call it .
I am so sick of this crap and have been since they first went in there , Either that of dig out the voter records since 2000 and send all who voted bush in and send them over to finish the damn job . You know all the people with the flags flapping from their cars .
Just bring the troops home and spend the new funding on their medical needs and just get the hell out of there .
Let the Iraqis keep their oil and use the profits to rebuilt what we have blown to hell and we can find a way to get by on less oil now , not tomarrow or next week but now .
Screw all of these war mongers and all of these new presidential candidates , not one of them will fix this mess ever and it will go on and on for another decade or two .
I don't support one of them anylonger and never should have voted thinking something would change . All we hear is the political process takes time , sure it does they way they go about it playing endless games back and forth and what have they done except prolong this madness .

3. We should never have invaded Iraq. But Congress gave a maniac |
|
unlimited war powers with no oversight. They aren't willing to do anything to reclaim their power or stop this insane war.
What is the way out? Where is the will?
It took very little thought and time to impeach Clinton. What are we waiting for with this selected impostor?

I really felt there would be millions in the streets right after the 110th congress showed us how weak they are . They should use all of those carriers in the gulf and load the troops aboard and get out , screw bush and the congress and the big oil corps . They want their oil for blood then let them hire people foolish enough to go over their and give their lifes for the oil .
What do they spend 1 billion plus a day of our money and we pay the high price at the pumps and the troops give their lives and limbs , just so we can drive to some shit low pay job and the troops who do live can sit in filth or live on the streets where many of us will soon end up .
Don't people see how futile and insane all of this is , are we this blind to what's going on . They won't be happy until they have started WW III .

....I couldn't agree with you more....
....I was watching 60 Minutes talking about how this Iraqi con-man 'lost' 800 million of a 1.2 billion dollar arms contract bushco gave him and nobody can account for the money....
....meanwhile, the SCHIP, childrens healthcare program in Georgia is underfunded, no longer taking new cases and kids are going without healthcare and operations....Dems want to add 50 billion to the national program while bushco only wants 5 billion....
....we wouldn't want defense contractors looting the treasury and finding it empty....they've killed plenty of children in Iraq, what's a few more in Georgia....
....Are we still in Iraq? Why? Out of Iraq NOW!!

And the political process does take time. So does figuring out a solution to this fucked up mess in Iraq. Sorry you don't understand that.

13. I understand all of it . |
|
I don't and won't support anyone of the candidates we have now , especially when they are only in the running because they have the funding to be there , this does not mean they are the best for the job by a long shot . I realize this has been the way for quite some time however this does not make it the best idea so it's long past time to change it .
The solution for this mess they have made in Iraq has only one answer and that is to get out which is what the Iraqis want in the first place .
Four years making the same mistakes should be proof enough for anyone , we are worse off now then the month before and the one before that . It's as insane as rubbing two sponges together expecting to make a fire .
Who can say if pulling out will be as difficult as we are told , if the Iraqis see us pulling out instead of shooting at us they may help load the planes . We are told it will be like exiting Cambodia but this is only in theory .

Because I could see a fire starting with two dry sponges... :evilfrown:
Seriously, I was telling my son today (and he was adding to my worries with his comments on how humans have done so much damage to the environment in the LAST 100 YEARS that all human activity before then was nothing compared to it.) that I am afraid for his generation. It IS madness.
All I can think of to do is sit on a street corner in my small town with a sign but then they will know I am crazy, not just be guessing.

20. Getting out isn't a solution |
|
It just shifts the problem to someone else, so we don't have to deal with it anymore.
Iraq is on the verge of a civil war, and fighting will continue until one side wins. Millions more could die from this and there could be ethnic genocide or an invasion from another foreign country.
There needs to be an exit strategy that allows for a stable government of some sort in Iraq before we can leave.

21. It's been a civil war for some time now . |
|
We have just been putting puppet governments in there . As long as the fighting continues and we are involved in this it will continue as it is and now it's getting worse .
How will there be a real government while this murder continues ?
Somehow there needs to be a meeting between all sections of Iraq where they can all be part of a fair government and this must be decided by the Iraqis not the USA .
It is obvious that nothing has worked in the four years we have been there and with the idea of us wanting to control their oil will not help , this is what this entire thing is all about , oil and control .
As many know , we should have left the entire country alone as it was .
There certainly is no simple answer now however it is clear things are not working as they are .
All I know is we need to fix our own country first or we will be no help to anyone and be broke in the process .
