"The disposal of human embryos should be illegal!!!111!"
Why don't we hear that battle cry from Bush and his fundy army?? If he really believes what he says, he should be pushing for a law that requires implantation of every one of the hundreds of thousands of frozen embryos. Hey, and what about keeping them frozen? Shouldn't that be illegal too? After all, a life in suspended animation is no life at all. You may as well be dead.

6. Better plan: Implant them on the spleens or livers of Anti-Choice neocon males!
Way back in early 80s I read about how implanting onto any blood rich organ worked with apes. Males can gestate. Just takes a bit of doing to get the process started.

What fun! If they are so 'PRO-LIFE' make 'em prove it by gestating all those extra embryos!

Then, of course, they have to actually support and raise the children they are always professing to do things because of

I just posted a link in a separate thread to this satirical article a short while ago, making almost exactly that point. Great minds, etc.

2. How 'bout the eath penalty for women
who have spontaneous miscarriages?

Why are you trying to apply reason to anything the wingnuts say or think?

4. Simply Send 'um to George's "Prairie Chapel" ranch for Safe Keeping....!!
With over 1500 acres at George's disposal,
surely 'some room' could be found.

5. Moral dilemma for the "embryos are people" folks: (see post)
You are walking down the street and you hear a scream. A building is on fire. You are brave, you rush in, and you realize you are in a fertility clinic. In one corner of the burning room is a 5-year-old kid who clearly wandered in from another part of the building. He is screaming his head off with fear as the fire draws nearer. In the other corner is a freezer full of embryos. Suddenly, the electricity goes off and you have a dilemma (as the fire rages on). You only have time to save either the kid or the embryos. Since all of those embyos are people, you are saving more lives if you cart out the refrigerator and get it plugged in across the street. But the screaming kid will surely die if you leave him there. You don't have time to save both the kid and the embryos. The freezer is on wheels and easily moved. Which do you save?

7. If they really stood by their convictions...
...they would pass a law creating two gender-based drafts. If male (and poor), you're in the army now! To protect Americas claim to the worlds resources. If female (and poor), welcome to the wonderful world of forced pregnancy. Carrying two precious frozen zygotes to full term, with a gracious 3 month "rest period" in between, will fullfill your two year "national service" obligation.

But wait, there may still be wars and leftover frozen zygotes. Better make that 3 years of "national service", or wait, 4 years. Someone else will do the math. The important thing is, ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you are obligated to do for your country.

And after the math is done, when people are forced into service for ten years or more, and breeding little future soldiers/wombs, will the religious right realize that it is they that brought about a Stalinist state in the US?
