The problem isn't that Tweety has Coulter on......
The problem is that she will spend the show saying things like Bush is as Great as FDR, that the Dems are cowardly, traitorous fags, and that the media are liberal whores (whores yes, but not liberal).
And Tweety will sit there and chuckle and not challenge a single one of her absurd, vile statements. Occasionally he might say; "Come on, do you really believe that?". Then she will say "Absolutely!" and move on tho the next bit of crap that falls out of her wretched mouth.

1. mostly right...coulter has turned on Bush
she now considers him a disappointment. I'd guess because of immigration but I don't know.

7. Disappointment is a bit mild by my standards...
I guess it is as strong as she can show in criticizing her hero.

Colossal fuckup is what I'd call Bush.

But that's just me.

8. My point all along...
she makes her side look so bad we should be paying her for appearances.

Anyone who takes her seriously is a lost cause anyway.

4. What's the point?
Matthews is a lost cause...he seems to defer to Coulter every time she's on his show. Nevermind that she is an intolerant hatemonger, but she also rains down falsehoods that Matthews refuses to even deign to challenge.

5. I can't stand the sight of her
much less hear her voice. Any show with her on - will get turned off by me. Its time she crawled back under whatever rock she came out from. Her 15 minutes are wayyyyyy over.

9. Who cares? Hardball is the equivalent of a Jerry Springer Show political debate.
The only people shocked are those who believed that show was a true bastion of journalism. :eyes:

10. They're always saying that Michael Moore is the left's version of Ann Coulter.
Which is ridiculous, of course- but even if you accept the statement...

Why isn't Moore invited on shows like Hardball to just talk for 30 minutes about anything he likes, like Ms. Coulter? Why isn't he regularly approached to offer his expert analysis on "news" shows, like Ms. Coulter? Why aren't his more controversial statements received with a chuckle, like Ms. Coulter's?

13. actually, I think the problem is that Tweety has Coulter on
Edited on Tue Jun-26-07 09:31 AM by GreenArrow
She's fundamentally dishonest and divisive, a genuine hate breeder. She may be entitled to her opinion, such as it is, but there's no legitimate reason for any responsible news show to provide her with a venue; then again, Tweety's show is not news, not journalism, it's what passes for entertainment; it's low-grade propaganda, and a drug for the terminally jaded.

14. Coulter would never say that Bush is as great as FDR
She'd say Bush was way better and that the New Deal was the worst thing that came out of the 20th century, that FDR was lucky that Hitler made so many mistakes and that FDR's appeasement of Stalin led to the Cold War.

15. You know what? She never fucking apologizes.
Never. Never. Never. No matter what vile, ludicrous crap she spreads. She never backs off. At best, she'll change the subject by upping the ante.

And she's still on TV every. Single. Day.

For Democrats, there should be a lesson in that somewhere.

22. Sorry, but it IS a problem that she is on.
Just by giving her air time, they (corporate media) recognize her view as valid and worth listening to.

True, they don't treat her as an aberration, they treat her as the norm. But they should even be acknowledging her as worthy of air time to begin with.

He must be running scared. Olberman is creaming his ass in ratings and truth. Mathews has jumped the shark and he knows it..

24. Now if Tweety really wanted ratings, he'd find a way to get her arrested while on his show!
If at some point the Justice Department can REALLY go after voter fraudsters instead of making like they are doing so to disenfranchise minority voters, perhaps Tweety can find out when they have an APB issued to arrest her. Then get her on his show, and call up the authorities so that they take her away in the middle of it. That would be a fun sight to see! I might even tune into his show just for that! :)

25. I hate to say this but it's free speech. It's those who believe it that are the problem.
Sadly and infuriatingly, the corporate media is about dollars, not bringing truth to the public. But even worse is that people believe the lies.

My boilerplate answer for almost everything is "It's the people". It didn't fool me. I knew Saddam was not a threat. I knew Bush was a criminally negligent and reckless being. If more Americans had any common sense at all, there would be no problem. We wouldn't be at war. Gore would have been finishing his second term, despite the attempt to impeach him. We would still have a budget surplus. Our foreign relationships would be smooth. Renewable energy research would be flourishing with a resultant skyrocketing economy. And MacDonald's would not have as large a profit margin.
