don't touch the water in Lemolo Lake, Org. - algal poison |
|
this is from an email alert from RSOE HAVARIA
Toxic blue-green algae have returned to a Cascade Range lake in Southern Oregon. The U.S. Forest Service said visitors to Lemolo Lake should not drink or have contact with the water, which cannot be purified by boiling, filtering or treating. Humans who eat the fish should strip them of skin, fat and organs, the agency said. Lemolo Lake is near Crater Lake National Park and Diamond Lake. The algae were first detected in the lake a year ago. ---------------------
