Michael Moore is almost frighteningly prescient.. |
|
Picked up the audio version of his book Stupid White Men (read by Arte Johnson, who does a MAGNIFICENT job :applause:) from my library the other day. If you recall, this was written soon after the Stealing of The Election of 2000. A lot of the stuff he talks about has happened 6-7 years later...:scared: He's not 100%...more like 75%-80% accuracy...but even that is WAY over 'chance'. :patriot:

2. If you like that one, you would probably like his book, "Dude, Where's My Country?" |
|
I love both of those books.

I think I've re-read it 3 or 4 times since then. It's still sitting on my bookcase waiting for the next time my internet connection goes down. The first read, I gobbled it up in one day. I was totally apolitical back when * was selected, but that book put me on course to being a good citizen and politically involved.
Glad you finally got the chance to enjoy it. I keep beating people about reading more and trying to get them to think. I hope it has some effect. If you do a lot of books on tape check out Koontz's Dark Rivers of the Heart. Totally fiction but not really. That was another one that grabbed me by the throat.
