Larisa Alexandrovna has an interesting take on Mike "just a gut feeling" Chertoff
Edited on Wed Jul-11-07 09:36 AM by leveymg
Lala_RawRaw, as we know her here, has some backstory info on DHS Director Chertoff she wants to share with us. It touches on some of the same material I posted a few days ago about how George Bush, Sr. got the U.S. trapped into a dangerous relationship with Pakistani and Saudi nuclear proliferators and terrorist networks, so here it is. Chertoff, LaLa tells us, has a personal history with these same networks: http://www.atlargely.com/2007/07/the-devil-and-t.html

The Devil and the Ouija Board

In Russian, the word "Chertoff" means "of/to the Devil." Chertoff also happens to be the name of the useless and corrupt chief of Homeland Security, who quite literally broke open the Quija board approach to counter-terrorism today to declare a "gut feeling" was warning him of Al Qaeda attacks in the United States this summer:

"On Tuesday, Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff told the editorial board of The Chicago Tribune that he had a "gut feeling" about a new period of increased risk.
He based his assessment on earlier patterns of terrorists in Europe and intelligence he would not disclose. "Summertime seems to be appealing to them," Chertoff said in his discussion with the newspaper about terrorists. "We worry that they are rebuilding their activities."

Other U.S. counterterrorism officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity, shared Chertoff's concern and said that Al Qaeda and like-minded groups have been able to plot and train more freely in the tribal areas along the Afghan-Pakistani border in recent months. Osama bin Laden and his top deputy, Ayman al-Zawahri, are believed to be hiding in the rugged region.
"The threat coming out of there is very real, even if there aren't a lot of specifics attached to it," one of the officials said."

I can easily start with the obvious - we were attacked in the fall, that is, September 2001. So I would think that the fall is "appealing" to "them," whomever they are. But let's start with something less obvious... where is Ayman al Zawahri?

"WASHINGTON, July 7 A secret military operation in early 2005 to capture senior members of Al Qaeda in Pakistans tribal areas was aborted at the last minute after top Bush administration officials decided it was too risky and could jeopardize relations with Pakistan, according to intelligence and military officials."

<snip>

"The target was a meeting of Qaeda leaders that intelligence officials thought included Ayman al-Zawahri, Osama bin Ladens top deputy and the man believed to run the terrorist groups operations. (link)

Right. And who was the czar of Homeland Security during this critical juncture? Well the Devil's very own was, assuming the helm in January 2005. But I digress from a more startling point. Yes, it is true that there is training in Pakistan of terrorist cells, including elements of Al Qaeda, but that is not new and it has not been addressed by this administration at all. So why tout your failure in securing terrorists in order to predict yet another terrorist attack? Perhaps because so many Republicans are jumping the Iraq war ship, the administration felt it time to roll out its talking points of terror and use it to attack its own people with. Because really, if a real terrorist threat was looming, the last thing that this administration would do would be to pay attention long enough to determine the origin of the threat. How do I know this? Because Chertoff's very own budget for anti-terrorism went to such Al Qaeda targets as Kentucky and the expense of the already attacked and always a target New York City. See here.

But I think that if Mr. Chertoff has some gut feeling that needs more confirmation in fact, he may want to ring up his old buddies Dr. Magdy Elamir. Who is that you ask? Well, a few years back an FBI sting operation nabbed several Pakistani arms merchants and money men, including ISI and Al Qaeda connected people like the good Dr. Elamir, who also used his HMO to launder a good deal of money:

"Federal Appeals Court Judge Michael Chertoff's ties to the financiers of the Sept. 11 attacks may prevent his confirmation as Homeland Security Chief.

According to a June 20, 2000 article in the The Record of Bergen County, New Jersey, Chertoff defended accused terrorist financier Dr. Magdy Elamir.

Elamir's HMO was sued by the State of New Jersey to recoup $16.7 million in losses. At least $5.7 million went "to unknown parties... by means of wire transfers to bank accounts where the beneficial owner of the account is unknown," according to the article.

Foreign intelligence reports given to then chairman of the House International Relations Committee Ben Gilman, R-New York, in 1998 accused Magdy Elamir of having "had financial ties with Osama bin Laden for years," according to an Aug. 2, 2002 Dateline NBC broadcast.

In 1999, Magdy Elamir and brother Mohamed were named suspects in Operation Diamondback, an FBI/ATF undercover infiltration of Pakistani arms merchants who sought to arm Osama bin Laden with conventional and nuclear weapons, according to independent researcher and former New Jersey police officer Allan Duncan and taped transcripts with FBI informant Randy Glass."

Yes, that is the same Michael Chertoff. I might also add that I have spent countless hours interviewing Randy Glass, a con-man, turned snitch. The reason the op was called Diamondback was that Glass' con of choice was diamonds. Glass is not someone a woman should meet with alone (lesson learned) and he is incredibly manipulative, as all such cons recruited to be snitches almost always are. But he is credible.

From Washington Post about this case:

"Federal investigators are reexamining a recent arms smuggling case in Florida to determine whether agents of the Pakistani government tried to buy missiles and nuclear weapons components in the United States last year for use by terrorists or Pakistan's military.

The original criminal case -- a sting operation in which intermediaries allegedly tried to buy the weapons from a diamond thief-turned-informant for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms -- attracted little public notice when arrests were made in June 2001. It resulted in a single guilty plea and the sealing of court files for another defendant.

One reason, informed sources said, was that prosecutors, in an unusual step, removed references to Pakistan from public filings because of diplomatic concerns.

The alleged weapons buyers repeatedly said in conversations taped by authorities that they represented the Pakistani government and were arranging the purchases for Pakistani intelligence, the then-Taliban government of Afghanistan or terrorists."

5. I don't understand how anyone can take the multitude of coincidences between
BFEE personnel and criminal activity, and not start connecting the dots.

to name a few: HW and the Kennedy assassination; the names of the ships used in the Bay of Pig being Zapata, Barbara and Houston; the owner of the Book Depository being a friend of HW; neil w Reagan assassination, Bush family & bin Laden family, Cousin working at FOX, 1st to call the election for W in 2000, Marvin working for firm providing security for WTC, United and the airport where the planes originated; ties to Iran Contra, BCCI; Savings & Loan Failure, etc

Is it not evident that these guys have VERY STRONG ties to many major crimes?

9. Social Network Analysis
It's a very credible tool for Organized Crime investigations.

Bin Laden's (North Yemeni) agents were trained by us in 1981.

7. K&R, al Qaeda is clearly working for the warmongering profiteers...
and al Qaeda's funding has already been traced to shadow government sources. The Shadow Government wants to make the United States pay dearly for its growing peace movement.
