Of course, the DU folks knew all about BushCo's Friday afternoon dumps of any news that was considered unpleasant, unspinnable, and/or that reflected our glorious leader in a poor light.

But insider Cathie Martin has verified under oath that this technique was being practiced. I had missed this until I read Frank Rich's excellent article yesterday.
