The mood of the current administration ... a pictorial journey
Edited on Sat Jul-14-07 04:56 AM by SoCalDem
The best pal it ever had, can no longer cover for them

A cloak of darkness hangs like a shroud

Some people still have their Bush-Cheney signs

The president travels..but the thrill is gone

He's not welcome in most places

He's a solitary guy these days.. a glum guy

Military locations are the only safe places, and yet the servicemen turn their backs to him, as if he does not exist

Photographers seem to be unable to stomach photographing his face these days. They show as little of him as they can..

Long gone are those ferocious wolves from their commercials.. They have been replaced by uneasy bears....hungry, hungry bears...

Over half the country wishes his future days were spent in serious contemplation in a solitary place

10. K*R George W * is the Third Man, Nixon on the Beach

Very nice...Like *, Nixon used to walk on the beach (after resignation) in street shoes, slacks and a work shirt. It's in such conspicuous strange taste...soul brothers, those two are.

On edit: Way back when Nixon was on San Clemente, exiled so to speak, a good friend of mine at the time had access to a property on the beach and full welcome to take pics of Nixon at any time (apparently the owner didn't like Nixon). He made a boat load of money on that deal as this was the only place Nixon went out in public for a while. Stroke of fortune, to be sure.
