1. No in the primaries, yes in general election |
|
If they are not bright enough to see what would come of it, as so many other people did, then they are either not all that bright or crooked to some extent :)
We saw bush for the kind of guy he was - give him an inch and will take it thousands of miles for his own needs.
They should have put his ass on a short leash long ago - even without the votes to make it stick you can still vote the right way...

3. Torn between principles and fear of another neo-con administration |
|
I don't think America can handle another 8 years of Neo-con rule. America, as we know it, would be permanantly changed (if not a 3rd world-type nation).
Yet, thousands have died in this war. Cognitive dissonance X 100000 -- how can I vote someone who agreed to this quagmire?

2. No. Millions of people knew it was bs and demonstrated. |
|
How can these people, whose job it is to know these things, claim innocence of that knowledge? How in the world could a civilian like me know better?
No, I can't do that.

4. To me there are lot of parallels between IWR and Gulf of Tonkin Resolution -- |
|
Edited on Sun Jul-15-07 06:21 AM by emulatorloo
Nobody in 1968 wasted time obsessing/attacking peace candidate Eugene McCarthy because he voted for Gulf of Tonkin.
The two resolutions were clear set ups by a lying deceptive administration.
Was I against IWR? Hell yes. Good for the ones who voted against it --
Am I so rigid and absolutist that I cannot see how people in congress were innudated with things I never saw -- -- false (yet credible) intelligence briefings, == satellite photos that showed EXACTLY where the WMDs were, -- and bogus assurances and promises from Sec of State Colin Powell that this IWR was just necessary saber rattling to scare Saddam and diplomacy would run its course?
