I KNOW it is just a game. My kids and their friends have been playing it lately. A lot! The goal, as most of you know, is to get married, have as many children as you can and become rich. We have an old version. They keep making fun of the kid who end up in the trailer or the run down house. They all want to be the Doctor. They also have to buy insurance in case of accidents or floods. They either end up in the poor house on assisted living or millionaires mansion depending on their choices The people are either pink or blue and they ride around in little cars. It is an older version like I said. This may sound petty, but it just seems wrong. Is there an updated version? Why can't the little people choose to be single and have no kids. They can only win if they get married and have kids. Can two pink pegs be parent? Or two blue pegs? I guess they can if they want. Anyway, thanks for listening to my little rant about a board game. I will just stick it back in the back of the closet.

1. SimCity is even more fun |

Build the city, let it run for 20,000 years because all the game's bugs keep certain types of power plants from dying/exploding, and all is well.

where you can make tons of money in the sports or entertainment industry. And the tech person makes money when the wheel slides off it's rig. Why did they make it where it would slide off? It's a pain in the ass.
The new one has many more rules to follow. That's progress?

--also has credit card use as part of it. And big incentives to use them. Gotta teach kids young to mortgage their futures for what they want in the short run, right?

You can't be pushing those "alternative lifestyles" on kids via board games. Childless by choice is goes against God's wishes so don't be giving them any ideas about that! And you certainly don't want to encourage them to be losers by even hinting that it's OK to not strive to be filthy rich and live in a mansion.
