Why did Lieberman advocate the overthrow of a stable, secular Middle Eastern government |
|
if he's so horrified by the threat of radical Islamic fundamentalists?
What a fucking idiot.

1. Simple. Because he is evil. Not irrational. Not insane. Simply |
|
evil.
He wants war. He wants death.
He is evil in the truest sense of the word.

attempting to cloak his paranoid racist ideology in talk of "security". Joe drools in delight at the thought of dead arabs, where ever they may be. PIG.

3. My thoughts exactly....he's got a lot of chutzpah to play that card. |
|
His actions enabling Bush's invasion and occupation has created a problem that didn't exist prior. Why should I believe he's got any more smarts on a post-Saddam Iraq?

7. What a disgusting post |

Lieberman DOES NOT have dual citizenship (I checked this when it was first brought up, as it seemed unlikely that someone with dual citizenship could have run for president); and has never lived in Israel.
It IS possible for someone, even in a liberal/left party, to be a right-winger and up Bush's rear end without having 'dual citizenship'. It's not a Jewish thing. Trust me, I know; we had Blair and our entire 'Labour' government up Bush's rear end for four bloody years.

Some of the right seemed to think that Saddam was an Islamic fundamentalist, and that fighting him was the same as fighting radical Islam. Just shows what dangerously ignorant idiots they are.

like most Republicans... and many Democrats... and many Americans....
Lieberman doesn't even get the fundamentals.
He doesn't get that just because an Arab nation is led by a regime friendly to the U.S. - it doesn't automatically mean we are safer or Israel is safer.
He doesn't get that our undemocratic puppet regimes in the Middle East will ultimately fall and we will all pay the price.
He doesn't get that security comes from treating others with respect, not from the barrel of a gun.
He doesn't get that hypocrisy and security are mutually exclusive in U.S. foreign policy.
He doesn't get that "they" most assuredly do not "hate us for our freedom".
He doesn't get that both Israel and the U.S. are lying in the beds that we have made.
Real democracy in the Middle East would be a freghtening thing to most in the West. The self determination of the Islamic world would not be in our image or to our liking. No more oil. No more markets for our crappy capital and goods - at least for a long time. And no more acquiescence to Israeli expansionism.
Let the Arab people really truly determine their own fate and we go packing with a boot in our ass.
But it's ultimately our only choice. All other roads lead to failure at a much greater cost.
But most of our leaders don't get it. And that's why we're most likely all going to pay a very high price.
