CHENEY's OFFICE IMPLIES - It HAS Executive Privilege Of Its OWN

Cheney's office implies it has executive privilege of its own
Michael Roston
Published: Wednesday July 18, 2007

The Office of Vice President Dick Cheney appears to be readying an independent assertion of executive privilege. The move came in an exchange of letters with the Senate Judiciary Committee, which granted an extension for the White House's efforts to comply with a subpoena on documents related to President George W. Bush's domestic spying program.

Shannen Coffin, Counsel to the Vice President, seemed to imply that Cheney's office may assert executive privilege after it finishes reviewing documents that are responsive to the committee's subpoena, which had a deadline of today, Wednesday, July 18.

"While the Office of the Vice President reserves legal protections that apply in this matter, we look forward to working to meet the Committee's needs for information and on legislative matters to protect the Nation," Coffin noted.

Cheney's attorney also seemed to suggest that the President and Vice President's offices were on the same plane.

4. OMG!!! Baaawaaahaaa He just claimed he wasn't OMG
Vice President Dick Cheney has asserted his office is not a part of the executive branch of the U.S. government, and therefore not bound by a presidential order governing the protection of classified information by government agencies, according to a new letter from Rep. Henry Waxman, D-Calif., to Cheney.

Bill Leonard, head of the government's Information Security Oversight Office (ISOO), told Waxman's staff that Cheney's office has refused to provide his staff with details regarding classified documents or submit to a routine inspection as required by presidential order, according to Waxman.

then he said he was part of the Legislative Branch cause he breaks the tie in the Senate

OMG when will these idiots figure out we got a crazy man in the whitehouse and he doesn't answer to ANYBODY

cut his electric and his heating and his staff and kick him freakin out

this is freakin crazy

7. It does
Nothing gets to the Oval Office unless Cheney says it does. Nothing is approved unless Cheney gives it a nod.

Cheney is just coming out from behind the curtain.
