Any one catch The Dianne Rehm show this am. w/Bruce Fein?

I just heard the last 20mins or so- it was really something.

I'm embarrassed to admit I'm not familiar with Mr.Fein, but the points he made were great-

He spoke of the concept of "unending war" and how Madison and others warned us that this is one of the ways the executive branch of govt. could seek to abuse their power. He also eloquently pointed out that *'s "War on Terra" is exactly that- A war without end. The guy was ON!- and the person who was supposed to represent the "other view" couldn't counter him effectively.

The show isn't available to hear on the NPR site yet, but it may be on at a different time in other time zones- I highly recommend checking it out.

Mr. Fein and John Nichols were on the show on July 13th and discussed impeachment for the entire show. It was excellent...

listen to online by later this afternoon as well as podcast by this evening.

I heard the whole thing and it was excellent.

I highly recommend the Moyer's segment referred to by another poster. I watched it for the second time last night. I think it should be recommended viewing for all Americans and especially our congresscritters. It underscores how important impeachment is for our democracy.

7. I checked the NPR site right after the OP and I found out that

my local NPR station, WBEZ in Chicago, doesn't carry Ms. Rehm's show.

Dumb question, but will I be able to hear the broadcast when it's online later this afternoon???

1) If you have the player NPR uses ... I think they use realplayer.

2) D/L from iTunes if you have an iPod. You can d/l all NPR shows from iTunes for free.

They offer live streams in Real, ASX, and MP3; sadly they don't archive in MP3, only in Real or ASX. However, there are open-source players that can play both, so it's not a dealbreaker...

If you ever forget the link to Diane Rehm's show, you can find it through her local NPR station (WAMU in Washington, or www.wamu.org) or through www.npr.org.

Enjoy! She's one of the best journalists out there, imo. She has two shows daily - one at 10am EST and the other at 11am EST. I especially like her Friday shows when she does her weekly "news roundup".

10. I just read

the Moyers transcript linked above-

It was excellent.

This line jumped off the page at me from Mr.Fein:

"We need to get the American People to think."

Spoken as one of the reasons why Impeachment or at the very least Censure hearings are needed.

We DO need to get "the public" to stop just mouthing slogans, or living in denial- to stop and really look at where we are, where we are headed, and what we can do about it, before it is too late.
