who parroted life, liberty and property before MM Ko-ed the life out of him and left him blushing with shame like a little girl. Priceless :D

Damn word police and grammar nazis are taking over this forum and nothing else can be discussed.

It is getting more than irritating to have every other thread hijacked by some self-appointed arbiter, while the original point is lost.
People. Not everything has to be a confrontation.

2. If it was the life liberty and pursuit of happiness bit |
|
The thing that gave me a chuckle was that thats from the Declaration of Independence. Not the Constitution. If you made a republican read the preamble to the Constitution they would insist it was some communist plot.

9. Fifth Amendment "nor be deprived of life, liberty and property" |
|
"No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation."
As Michael Moore pointed out, if you can't see a doctor, you may lose your life.

|
I guess the self-centered little freepers have no problem with standing next to a guy in line at the post office who has undiagnosed drug resistant TB; undiagnosed because he can't afford a trip to the doctor. Oh, and sick children are much easier to educate than healthy ones, aren't they? And a sick work force makes the US much more competitive in the world, doesn't it? :puke:

I know. I moderate a non-political discussion board, and sometimes it creeps in anyway. It takes all my willpower not to call out people who say things like "everything Michael Moore does is slanted and he doesn't check his facts." Flame wars started by mods are a big no no. So all I did was ask if she had seen Sicko. No reply as of yet.
