Poll question: Have you seen "SICKO"? Most theatres not playing? |
|
I finally saw it -- great movie, ultra-important subject, speaks primarily about health care but also about Congress & Bush being bought by lobbyists, and highlights how irrational and lopsided the propaganda is against the French social structure in the US.
I like how he is attempting to wake up a sleeping American sense of concern for others.
But the independent film theatre where I usually go has been bought out,and I had to go out of my way to a theatre I don't usually go to in order to see it.

1. I saw it at the local art-house |
|
where all his movies have played. The big mainstream theaters don't show documentaries, generally.

2. I don't know if I can go see it. Someone posted the question |
|
here "What was the saddest movie you've ever seen?" My response was "'Fahrenheit 9/11'-but I didn't know it at the time."

3. Those of you that haven't seen it even though it's playing |
|
at your usual theater, shame on you. The movie could be a momentum shift to finally get a modern delivery system of healthcare to the citizens of this country.

5. Luckily, I was able to see it at my usual theatre. |
|
Albeit I only noticed a couple of other places where it was playing in the whole central Florida area.

6. It's only playing at the local restaurant movie theatre |
|
Because they're independent, they often show movies that the chain theatres don't. I haven't seen it.

7. I saw it, but it wasn't at my usual theater, however, it's playing there now. |
|
When it opened, the closest it was playing to me was at a theater about 20 miles away.
I plan on seeing it again.

8. It was playing in Miami, Florida, and this is the epicenter of fascist GOP Cuban mega-zillionaires |
|
If it was playing here, it ought to be playing everywhere!
