4. He's defending his early cheerleading for the invasion,
while portraying himself as a long-time critic of the Bush administration. CNN is buying his portrayal of himself, hook, line, and sinker.

9. Move Those Goal Posts Another FU
Ya gotta love a self-annointed critic who both supported this invasion and the surge and now pretends that there's no paper trail. Yet, Time/Warner continues to shell out a paycheck to this hack as an "expert" who has been wrong on everything he's predicted or stood up for. It's like a baseball team sticking with a bad player just cause they have to pay him...so they might as well play him.

The "Tet Moment" of this incursion is still to come and it'll be turds like Pollack who will once again surface (cause he's an "expert" cause someone paid him to be one) who will again kick another Friedman Unit around and blame the "critics" (which he claims he is or was or could be) for how everything's gone wrong.

This is all an orchestrated game to buy GOOP candidates some time...push this quagmire past next year's primaries so the right wing votes and money can be collected...then they'll "run for the middle"...thing the voters were too stupid to remember whose prolonged this mess.

14. "Tet moment" - think "Stalingrad moment" (when an entire German
army under Von Paulus was surrounded by Zhukov and had to surrender).

10. Ken Pollack is a scary M-Fer. He'll say anything for a $ and a minute in front of a camera.
That having been said, I want whatever it is he's smoking.

Unbelieveable statement. I can't fathom anyone saying that with a straight face.

19. They finally have the troops the generals called for in 2003. So it
works a little better this war. Neocons tore up all the military plans to begin with. Hope that doesn't get lost in history.

21. Not even close
The generals in 2003 predicted the need for hundreds of thousands of troops, not 120,000 + a few thou more.

After being told he was "wildly off the mark," he was shown the door.

Edited on Mon Jul-30-07 11:04 AM by Ikonoklast
Friend of my daughter, just back from his second tour. Good kid.

He tells me that, to a man, they HATE being there and the Iraqis HATE them for being there.

Seems that his opinion, and those of his fellow Marines, differ from those of Mr.Pollack.

I guess that 'reality' thing can make ones' opinion be in variance from those that are delusional.
