Norm Coleman Is a Stupid Dirty Hippie

You can say at least one thing about the quality of Senator Norm Coleman’s character: He surely had no intention of being a GOP politician when this college yearbook photo was taken in 1971. Not even the most brain-damaged pothead would be photographed like this if he had even the slightest intent of running for national office. This is the picture of a young man resigned to his fate at the auto body shop.

But, apparently, he was also some leftist student leader at the time — and a huge dope fiend. But it’s the “leader” part that’s hard to believe. Nonetheless, his old college pothead buddy Norm Kent says Coleman was a campus revolutionary of some kind:

“This is a guy who was hippie freak leader of the Students for a Democratic Society that helped take over buildings protesting an unjust war in Vietnam who is now a cleaned-up Republican Senator who’s had his teeth done, his hair styled and his face remodeled to look like the classic politician that he once protested.

4. Norm saw where the money was and sold-out
Now that he sits on the committee which for 6 years blocked investigation on how his predecessor was assassinated, the first time ever a freshman Senator was given the Chair of the Joint Investigations Committee, he has indeed become the Nazis he hated as a youth.

5. Wow, ol' Norm used to have a nice head of hair
I think that's the first nice thing I've ever said about Norm Coleman. Maybe cutting it was part of the deal when he sold his soul...

7. I call Wonk on Wonkette
What a degrading piece of crap!

I don't care much for Norm, but everyone should remember he WAS a democrat before he went over to the dark side.
Hell it even states in the article that Norm was part of the Students for a Democratic Society that helped take over buildings protesting an unjust war in Vietnam.

And lil' Ms Wonkette implies just because someone smoked pot that they don't have the intellect to be anything other than a auto body shop worker. Oh please. There have been very successful potheads.

He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Iowa College of Law. New York Senator Chuck Schumer, a Democrat, attended high school with Coleman.

Wonkette was known for its sharp, sarcastic, intelligent voice, and for its mixture of heady political discourse with repeated references to gin and anal sex.

I'd take pot over gin any ol' day....

So, again I'm not defending Coleman as much as I'm defending potheads. :smoke: :hippie:

8. Can we really trust a man who smoked pot for decades?
And who knows what else went up his nose.

10. So, you're saying potheads aren't trustworthy
I beg to differ. :hi:

Ohhhh, now we have two potheads running for the senate for the great state of MN.

Oh yeah, another big pothead would be none other than Al Gore and Bill Clinton, although Clinton preferred brownies.

Weed slows down time.

Here's the reason Norm was such a huge pothead his mother was a dealer:rofl:

Scene from Reefer Madness:

Mae Coleman, and Jack Perry, her lover, sell marijuana. Mae prefers to sell weed to customers her own age, whereas Jack sells the drug to young teenagers. Ralph Wiley, a former college student turned fellow dealer (and "addict," according to the film), and Blanche help Jack sell cannabis to young students. Young students Bill Harper and Jimmy Lane are invited to Mae and Jack's apartment by Blanche and Ralph. Jimmy takes Bill to the party. There, Jack runs out of reefer. Jimmy, who has a car, drives him to pick up some more. Arriving at Jack's boss's "headquarters," he gets out and Jimmy asks him for a cigarette. Jack gives him a joint. Later, when Jack comes back down and gets into the car, Jimmy drives off dangerously, along the way running over a pedestrian with his car. Jack agrees to keep Jimmy's name out of the case.

Bill begins an affair with Blanche. Mary, Jimmy's sister and Bill's girlfriend, goes to Mae's apartment looking for Jimmy, and accepts a joint from Ralph, thinking it to be a normal cigarette. When she refuses Ralph's advances, he tries to rape her. Bill comes out of the bedroom after having sex with Blanche, and hallucinates that Mary strips for Ralph. He attacks Ralph, and as the two are fighting, Jack tries to break it up by hitting Bill with the butt of his gun. The gun goes off, and Mary is killed. Jack puts the gun in the hand of an unconscious Bill, and wakes him up. Bill sees the gun in his hand, and is led to believe that he has killed Mary. Bill is sent to prison. The group of dealers lie low for a while in Blanche's apartment while Bill's trial takes place. Ralph, losing his sanity, wants to tell the police who is actually responsible for the death of Mary. The film attributes Ralph's insanity to marijuana use.

There you have it pot bad!

And the Peru snorter was damaged goods from the get go!
