Congresscritter Steve Cohen Signs On To Gonzo's Impeachment Investigation!
http://www.dailykos.com/story/2007/8/1/143335/8560

Note that he's one of the guys who WRITES articles of impeachment.

Short note reprinted in full:

Yesterday I added my name to Rep. Inslee’s resolution (H.RES.589) to investigate whether Attorney General Gonzales should be impeached for high crimes and misdemeanors. I am a member of the House Judiciary Committee, which is the Committee that prepares articles of impeachment.

I realize many of you have been following the ongoing developments concerning the potential impeachment of AG Gonzales. As my staff and I research the specific grounds on which to impeach him, I welcome your input.

And while I’ll see you on Saturday at YearlyKos for a panel discussion entitled "Countering Corruption in Congress and the Bush Administration," I still have work to do here in the U.S. House. Before we recess, we must continue working hard toward the reauthorization and expansion of the State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP), while passing two more appropriations bills.

See you in Chicago,

Steve Cohen
Member of Congress
Tennessee's 9th District

Contrast with a complete fucking jackass:

"Daily Kos reader EmilyD reports writing to her Congresswoman, Ellen Tauscher, to urge support for the impeachment of Attorney General Alberto Gonzales. Take a look at how Tauscher answered:

The Attorney General serves at the pleasure of the president in a non-impeachable office. Unless convicted of an illegal act, the Attorney General cannot be removed from office without the president asking for or accepting his resignation. However, please be assured that I will keep your thoughts and concerns in mind as I review the circumstances surrounding recent allegations of impropriety within the Justice Department.

Sincerely,

Ellen O. Tauscher
Member of Congress

1. I swear if I read or hear "at the pleasure of the president" just one more time....
I'm just not quite sure how I might react.

Hey you dip shits, you were elected to serve "the people", not the "president", you swore an oath to the Constitution of the US, the Republic, not to "your president". For saying such a thing you should automatically be removed. You have broken your oath, Ms. Tauscher, plain and simple, southern style.

5. Steve Cohen is a Democrat...
and I hope some of my letters and emails helped him make his decision...

I've also sent them to Zack Wamp, John Duncan, Bob Corker & Lamar Alexander... I know those are a waste of time, but I still send them..
