Prayer Breakfast to discuss guns

Joel Fulton, co-owner of Southside Sportsman Club and Freedom Firearms, will discuss the topic, "Guns: What Would Jesus Do?" at the Men's Monthly Prayer Breakfast 7:30am Saturday, August 4, at Faith Baptist Church . . .

Fulton said he plans to offer an "in-depth look at what the Bible has to say about the use of lethal force for the purpose of self-defense beginning with the Old Testament and ending with Revelation."

"We will also take a look at the Bible passages that many folks use out of context to support pacifism," Fulton said. "We will examine the common arguments for pacifism and show that God clearly did not intend for his children to put themselves in harm's way without putting up a defense."

The event is free, but Fulton is asking for RSVPs to . . .
