High Anxiety Alert: Bush Is Talking About Terror Attacks a Lot Lately
Edited on Fri Aug-03-07 09:13 PM by David Zephyr
George W. Bush just gives me high anxiety. He's the drunk dad at the wheel of our nation and he's off the wagon again, of late, intoxicated with his terror speeches. Even if he's just trying to drive fear into all of us, it works...even on me.

Today, it was Bush wagging his finger saying the Democrats better give him a spy bill to protect us because time was "short". It's like he is setting the Democrats up to take the blame: "You won't give me a spy bill and we just might get hit again and Americans can only blame the Democrats." That's his message.

The other day, Michael Chertoff, said he had a "gut feeling" that we were about to be hit again.

What are they really saying? Why? Are we about to be attacked again? Are they raising the terror level because they know something or are they playing politics?

The sad thing is that since nobody trusts Bush anymore, it's hard to know whether we are under a threat or just being toyed with again. I think he likes this a lot.

Bush has his executive order now in place where he assumes power over all branches of government in case of another attack.

Would he sacrifice yet another city as he has with NYC, Washington, D.C. and yes, New Orleans?

He went from sagging poll numbers to the high 80's after 9/11/2001 and got his Patriot Act passed (well, only after top Democrats and news anchors received Anthrax at their offices...and after he'd been on Cipro for months). Can he get back up for the 25% approval ratings?

He wouldn't let Americans die for his own power and ambition, would he?

I have a bad feeling of late. I'm no different than most all Americans. His rattling about terror just makes me nervous. I have to admit it. I wish someone from the Democratic Party would speak up about this. Bush is the one that has left our ports unprotected as John Kerry has said many times.

Democrats need to get vocal about this issue, because it was fear-mongering that got Bush re-elected against Senator Kerry in 2004. And he's doing it again a lot lately.

2. Terrorist
There are those cowboy leaders who believe that a terrorist is motivated by the prospect of being rewarded with seventy virgins in heaven. There are others who think that a terrorist is motivated by one virgin who could have been a wife to a caring man if she had not been blown to pieces by an American made bomb. Left without love and without hope the terrorist chooses the cocaine of revenge. The addiction to revenge never goes away. And because of this I fear that the war in Iraq will never go away either.

6. * is going to pull a big one any day. Instead of expanding his FISA powers
he must be removed from office. Impeachment is the only way to restore order and confidence in America.

It is un-American to permit this dangerous impostor to remain in the office he stole.

7. It's all about the fear..
it is the most crippling emotion I know. I think when they sense anger bubbling up from the populace they throw terror out and it has the effect of dousing the flickers of rage with torrents of water. Future Events Appearing Real.

13. Yes, it is.
It's the only card that Bush has ever played that worked for him with the populace. My real fears are that Karl Rove understands this better than anyone.

9. Thank you for your concern.
Spreading terror is useful only to Bush. It is NOT useful to us.

11. I don't think it is particulary helpful
to invalidate someone's anxiety. I myself am worried they are cooking something up.

"I myself am worried they are cooking something up." They've done it before.

10. YES he would kill Americans for his own agenda. He did it once already!
Well, twice actually. On 911 and the Iraq War.

This is what I've been thinking about all day long. Trent Lott told Senators to leave town and not return until Sept.12, the repukes have been fighting this FISA bill all day long....

I'm thinking they want this to fail so they can attack another city and BLAME IT ON THE DEMS. Just as we have thought they would do. THEN, martial law called by the psycho.

in_cog_ni_to, you write: "This is what I've been thinking about all day long."

Me, too. All day. Bush's speech, his crazed look, his tone...creeped me out.

18. I wonder if alot of it doesn't have to do with getting his FISA authorizations
through, though. I know what you mean about how crazy he's looking lately. His weird behavior when Gordon Brown was here and the rest. But, I'm wondering if much of it isn't that he's creating fear so that he gets Dems and Repugs to push through what he wants before the recess while also causing disruption in the House and Senate so Dems go home with no one happy with them.

Media are really attacking Dems...C-Span's Washington Journal is almost unwatchable because of the Hosts reading every attack article from Washington Times and Politico...and the Cables are also unwatchable because of the attacks.

Bushies are fighting off investigation and impeachment. It's their own FEAR maybe that's driving this rather than any terrorist threat. Another terrorist attack and the Bushies will be toast...because they are so proud that there hasn't been another 9/11...it's all they can run on for re-election these days and going into '08.

Just a thought...anyway. They are "cornered" and making Dems seem incompetent with bullying and disrupting tactic is all they know, along with fear mongering.
