If the money isn't removed from politics and it
doesn't look as if it ever will, I think we will always be disappointed in our Congress. It's almost like self-abuse. We need to get active, but if money drives the candidacy and the candidate gets most of their campaign financing from the corporate bosses, then getting active could get us busted up without changing anything.

If we all joined the same local Democratic party and had one candidate that avowed that he/she would not take any money donations outside our own large gathering of DUers, then we might get them elected in the primary, but the Repub backed with big bucks and advertising would swamp us in the general.

Public financing and forfeiting an election for violations would give us our country back, but there is not a chance in the world of it happening. Money drives politics and gives us congresspeople who break our hearts and our spirits.

We give our small donations, blog, attend a Codepink rally in Washington, and then let the money do the walking and talking on the hill.
