Tongue-pierced 6ft tall Essex girl could be next First Lady

Democratic congressman and 2008 presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich's wife, is anything but your run-of-the-mill, conservative, 60-something politician's wife. Oh no. Elizabeth Kucinich is a 29-year-old "hippie chick" from Upminster, England, who stands at six feet tall, with long red hair and a tongue ring. Elizabeth met Dennis two years ago when she visited his office in the House of Representatives with her boss as a volunteer worker for the American Monetary Institute. He proposed to her after just their second meeting, and they were married only three weeks after that, with actress Shirley MacLaine at their wedding. Sure they're 31 years apart, but Elizabeth says that she's "never noticed it at all", that her husband is a "very mature but young-at-heart gentleman and that they "compliment each other".

Elizabeth has studied religion and theology at Kent University and it was her work with the Voluntary Service Overseas that brought her to Tanzania and India, which is where she was inspired to pierce her tongue with what Fox News describes as "a bar with two delicate balls on either side". Elizabeth sites Princess Diana as one of her heroes and is trying to bring "compassion back into public life", which is something she says has been absent since Diana's death.

34. Absolutely!
I'd love to have an ethical, vegan, lefty in the whitehouse, and she would certainly be a far better first lady that the medicated zombie we have there now.

Everyone else has pissed me off irretrievably.

Of all political persuasions. They're going to beat this story until Judith Giuliani, in comparison, looks like the "Queen" she says she wants to be.

8. "Hot" doesn't gain the female vote.
And tongue studs in a first lady would turn off most of the adult population.

29. If this election is based on haircuts and tongue studs, you may be right...
It would be a shame to let actual issues and policies interfere with the really important stuff.

This country is becoming so shallow that Grover Norquist couldn't even drown a baby in it.

Edited on Mon Aug-06-07 02:40 PM by sshan2525
He (she) has about as much chance of being president (first lady) as I do of playing first base for the Red Sox, i.e. zilch.

21. Besides. He's so out of sync with the mainstream. (Not!)
Survey of Public Attitudes Makes Kucinich the Runaway Leader on the Issues

CLEVELAND, Aug. 3 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/-- In the political equivalent
of a "blind taste test" taken by more than 67,000 participants, an
independent website surveying public attitudes on various issues is
reporting that Ohio Congressman and Democratic Presidential candidate
Dennis Kucinich is the first choice of a phenomenal 53% of respondents.

No other candidate, Democrat or Republican, even reaches double digits.

That's one that lots of people can relate to.
Is DK an underdog as far as the MSM is concerned? You bet! But underdogs have a knack for defying the odds.

28. I think she's been a really positive influence on him
He seems a lot more balanced this campaign than he did in the last.

He's always had a passion for public service and a vision for a better America, but she seems to have helped him to calm down a bit and to focus his message more.
