The GOP candidates have some sort of "Rove in reverse" machine |
So Karl Rove gets all his proteges elected by taking the most positive feature of the opponent and perverting it. Meanwhile, let's look at some of the'08 Republican candidates: -Rudy Giuliani: Chickenhawk egomaniac who recommended a mob puppet as Secretary of Homeland Security= Crime-busting, down-to-earth badass. -John McCain- Guy who unequivocally agreed with practically everything Dubya said, even after being slimed out of the nomination by him= Maverick, albeit one who enjoys occupation with no discernible goals as much as the next guy. -Mitt Romney- Guy with no set positions on abortion or gay rights= strong moral stance. -Fred Thompson- Ex-actor who talks a lot but hasn't actually done shit in the way of his campaign= hey, it's the guy from "Cape Fear"! I'm totally voting for him! I could bring up the "moral crusader with secret, extensive life of depravity" thing, but the Repubes have turned it into a cliche.

2. Someone needs to be keeping an eye of Rove, haven't heard of him much lately |
with the elections coming up fast, he should be being investigated, I honestly believe that, in fact where are all the investigative reporters our there? We are given the most ignorant information lately on those in high offices, the man has to have skeletons, everyone does, someone needs to raid his closet, I think if you bring him down, the rest will fall like dominos.

6. Eventually technology will exist |
To determine whether a fetus will eventually become a minority and/or a petty criminal. The GOP will become pro-choice, and state electric bills will plummet. Or, alternately, Bill Bennett will be elected president and implement his suggested virtue-tastic eugenics program.

4. Republicans are very comfortable with magical thinking and cognitive dissonance. |
They do not recognize hypocrisy, ever. If their leaders tell them it's so, then you'd better believe it's so...even when it's obviously not. One of the perks of not living in the reality-based community.
