Push polls -- who knows anything about a firm called Venture Data?

This Salt Lake City firm recently conducted a push poll in our area that allegedly maligned an incumbent Democratic state rep.

This poll reportedly asked questions such as "would you vote for xxx if you knew he was a closet homosexual?" Other questions referenced illegal immigrants and Jack Abramoff.

And the pollsters only wanted to talk to male heads-of-households.

The circumstances are very mysterious/fascinating given the current state of politics in our area.

Anyone have any info/research on this firm?

In fact, the firm was embroiled in controversy a few years back when Pennsylvania Republican House Majority Leader John Perzel used his taxpayer-funded expense account to have Venture (and many other firms) do a hit job on a Democratic target:
