She needs the 3rd largest security detail of any political leader besides the President and Vice President. If she has a stop over on a plane flight, they will need to treat it much like an AF1 landing. If they don't stop, they won't have to do the detail. That is what I get out of this. Anyone else have any more important information?

3. And just what kind of plane...
does Laura Bush fly in when she's not traveling with her husband? And just what is her role in the presidential succession? Case closed.

11. I'm sorry, I don't get it.
Why would Illinois vs. California make a difference? What did he fly in and what does she want? Why is it a big deal?

(Flame away if you must, but I really am just trying to understand what is going on here.)

13. no flames, the one Hastert flew in (the one she is in now) could fly to Chicago
without needing to stop for fuel but needs to stop to fuel to go to California. The one that was requested holds enough fuel to fly to California without needing to stop for fuel.

10. That is the assumption, it may or may not be the case. She might not be in line at all.

Neither the Presidential Succession Act of 1947 or it's predecessor Presidential Succession Act of 1792 have ever had anyone (Sec. of State) to challenge the placing of people who in the constitution are expressly not "officers of the United States" in line for the presidency.

My thread on this, this morning dropped pretty quick
