I doubted it until now....(Hillary get the nomination)
but i think in their (the white house) hubris and "macho" posturing, they just handed the candidacy to clinton...actually it was classic (bill) clinton...parry your opponent, when the inevitable attack comes, you can defend yourself (re attack back with your base behind you)

it actually is very smart of the clinton camp to run against bush right now, no matter who the real rethug candidate is in 08...and i say this as someone who isn't necessarily rooting for hillary, i lean more towards john edwards.

this could be very interesting if what KO alluded to last night is true, that kkkarl rove is resigning to lead the attacks on clinton...and that if bill is running things behind the scenes then we are getting ready to see the gloves come off in a proxy war between BILL CLINTON VS KARL ROVE

1. Stop giving your valuable attention to the lying corporate media.
They chose Senator Clinton as our nominee for us years ago, which means they either know they can beat her or that she'll do what they want. Turn off the propaganda and let's have a primary before letting our enemies decide who we'll run for President.

2. What did the OP say that was false?
Just out of curiosity?

Do you think that Hillary Clinton doesn't have a pretty good chance of being our nominee?

4. I'm not sure which part of what I said needs clarification, but anything for you.
No, if we have a fair primary, she has little chance. And, if she somehow does, she'll lose us the Presidency.

Senator Clinton is, irrationally or not, hated by half of the nation, and that includes Democrats. The same corporate entities who report "data" that she is somehow "in the lead" have been framing her as our nominee for years now, and that's a little more than suspicious - it's blatant propaganda.

But why don't we have the primary first, before we pick, or let the republicunts pick, our nominee.

14. This primary is going to be different
I really do not like the early primary packing. It used to be that the early primarys would knock off the weaker candidates, and then the candidates left would go at it.

There is so little time between the early primaries and February 5, 2008 that I think Clinton might get slammed down our throats with that big campaign war chest.

I agree with you to a large extent but these changes to the primaries is very worrisome.

16. Do you vote for the person with the most commercials?
Do you know anyone who does? When that works, it only works if voters haven't already formed an opinion about the person running. I don't know anyone who doesn't already have an opinion of Senator Clinton, and most of them are negative opinions.

5. I wasn't accusing you of being ignorant.
I was saying that, whatever your reasons, you've started believing exactly what they want you to believe - that Senator Clinton will be our nominee, before we've even voted in the primary.

8. Completely agree...
Gore said it best, "if I was to run for president, I wouldn't get involved in a 600 day run, that's just crazy".

because of the news vacuum, the media selected clinton as the dems choice so they can start the rabid anti-dem campaign.

Frankly, I still haven't made my choice. I also think it's absolute insanity to even make a choice at this point. It's all bluster and bullshit right now. Until the primaries start, this is nothing.

When the campaigning really gets going in earnest then we will see who rises to the top.

the clinton campaign money juggernaut will be hard to beat, but it's not impossible.

10. I'm not convinced that money raising decides the candidate any more.
That's one of the fallacies of the losing DLC strategy, especially as it applies to Senator Clinton. People of all walks hate her, whether she deserves it or not. I don't think any amount of money will offset that.

6. They *want* to run against Hillary Clinton.
Edited on Wed Aug-15-07 09:40 AM by Marr
The GOP knows that the only candidate who could energize their disillusioned base is Hillary Clinton. They need her to win.

And of course, the fact that she's DLC makes it a win/win for corporate America. And so the corporate media sells her round the clock as well.

13. Precisely
The mere fact that MSM is trying to sell her to voters should make people think twice.
