I didn't notice it until I hit the big DK image at the top to go back the the home page and see what was up there. And, it routes right back to the subdomain. Life around the blogs is getting curiouser and curiouser

Kos has a problem and we as good neighbors ought to let him know that his operation is being torpedoed. It's not easy to sub-domain, so it's close to home.

I don't think much of his site anymore, but he talked a good game last week on MTP. In fact, he is one very well spoken individual on the fly in front of a camera. This is a public service. For general news DK is OK, but for the real feel of the folks, DU is home.

It's the latest malicious attack - faking a website to go to some porn site, or to plant some malware. It apparently hit the American Enterprise Institute last week. I guess someone decided to do the same to DKos.

24. Since this spoof is a subdomain it's a bigger problem

than the normal "every way to misspell a domain name" problem. Try misspelling democraticunderground and see what happens. However, this is a subdomain and hence it is hitting his server farm. The messages (requests) are passed to DK before they get branched off to the subdomain.

I had to look the FLA (as opposed to the TLA so commonly used).

So, here's the deal. I go over to check out their take on things and click on a diary that is about somebody murdering illegal aliens. I was sooooo upset that I posted here. After a while I've got this DK browser view that's not being used and I hit the big orange icon expecting to go back and get more of the daily-trivia but instead I end up back at the same site.

The deal is that DK sent me to that site and that site then commandeered my browser view. The site is a subdomain and that I think is a problem for DK.

I got it, DK does have subdomains for his henchmen. If you click on a front-pager's account name it sends you to their subdomain. The BUG in the code is that that icon at the top does not send you to DK home but the subdomain home. Now as far as "Moody Loner" is concerned "Kiss MY *" bye all!

I am not, nor have I ever been a front-pager at Daily Kos. The very next diary of mine that gets front-paged will be the first. I am not a Fellow, a Front-Pager Emeritus, an Armando sockpuppet, or anyone empowered to speak for the Daily Kos site in any way.

I am not one of Kos' "henchmen", "hirelings", or "followers". I'm barely a "lackey".

Everyone, every single damn one of us in this thread, can get an account at Daily Kos, and after the cooling off period has passed, can post diaries. Links to those diaries will behave exactly as the ones to mine, Hunter's, Openthread's, and John Kerry's do. Much as I'd love you all to believe that I have the ability to route Kos' traffic to evil sites that will infect you with malware, the truth is I don't have it in me, and if I did I'd probably do something a little less casually horrific to the online identity I've built up since whenever I first signed up on Slashdot - I want to say ten years ago, but it can't have been that long.
