Who is your candidate?
From Blast Off : Progressivism is not dead! (But it's on life support ...)

My kingdom for a real progressive candidate!

Perhaps you've heard of the Political Compass website, where you can take a test that places you on a grid based on the degree to which you are "left" or "right" on the economic scale as well as how socially libertarian or authoritarian you are.

I'm damn near as moonbatty as it gets: -6.50, -6.67, which puts me in, for lack of a better term, the "deep Southwest" of the grid.

Anyway, thanks to a recent article on London's TimesOnline, we can see how the 2008 U.S. presidential candidates fit on the grid.

2. I wonder where Gore would land on that chart. I am surprised about Edwards
I am not sure I buy into this chart. I have heard interviews with Gravel, and I don't think he is left of DK

3. The leader of the world is not ready for a Progressive President.
Perhaps another Great Depression will prepare US ... again.

4. Glad I am supporting DK
I took the survey thing that was here a couple of weeks ago and DK came up on top for me with Gravel in the #2 slot, followed by the Dem field and even Ron Paul was in + numbers (just barely) then all the Republicans were in serious negatives.

Thanks for this posting. I am printing it to show the wife and some folks at work.

6. I guess I am for Dennis as in these tests I am always with Gandhi
Oh well I will have to vote for the Dem. that runs I guess as they have to be better than another Bush or Reagan. I was a Paul Tsongus person when Clinton got it. I am a capitalist but with control so people do not get hurt and even Dem. are to far right for me on this. People should be able to market their talent with in reason. I would sure like to see some new thinkers in DC and get rid of the Bush/Clinton group for once.

7. Interesting... John Edwards is the furthest left of the top 3
candidates. Most of the repubs are about where I would expect them, but interesting also that DK & MG are so far from the rest.
