Question?...Is there any way |
|
we(DU)can come up with a list of all DU'ers in the path of this monster Hurricane Dean so that we can keep track of their safety and welfare? It would really help if they could sign on and tell us their plans so we can monitor and be ready to help if at all possible. We have many resources and many people in a position to rally whatever kinds of help that may be necessary.
I know I will never depend on any fuckin government to help me if I'm ever in trouble..If it does happen, and if I possibly can, I will log on to DU and let 100+ thousand people know that I need help! We are OUR OWN National Guard!

8. Solly Mack....thanks for the suggestion... |
|
But I think you should do it...you are well respected and have millions of posts so coming from you I think will generate a much greater response. I am more of a lurker...watch a lot (8-10hrs/day), but my wife says everytime I give my 2cents worth...I get change back!

9. YOU should do it. It was your thoughtfulness that prompted it |
|
and we will all kick and recommend it and it will take on a life of its own. So you can lurk with no guilt. When I start a thread I feel guilty if I'm not the perfect hostess. :) (which I never am...so there's a lot of guilt)
Thank you for your kind words.

2. I find it interesting that there are no hurricanes in Iraq, few if any |
|
tornados, little drought, no earthquakes to speak of, only a major CF started by the boy commander. I just think it is strange that we have been assailed with so much from nature, I just wonder if he isn't trying to send us a message. (Father nature that is).

3. Great idea... I agree with the start a new thread idea. Probably something with "People living in |
|
the path of the hurricane check in." in the subject line would be a good idea. Let me know if you need help.
I'm near New Mexico and can drive in that direction in a pinch.

The Du'er Malaise is in Kingston. Further, any DU'ers living on the Yucatan peninsula northward up the coast of Mexico. Du'ers living on the Texas gulf coast from Brownsville to up around Houston.
Also any DU'ers that managed to get themselves sent to Gitmo.
