Why do we need "answers" in ANS's death? They have said it is not a criminal matter
Edited on Thu Feb-08-07 11:30 PM by RGBolen
What purpose does an autopsy serve? Why would Broward County want to know what caused her death? People die. I know less 39 year old people die than say 89 year old people but it happens.

on edit. At least the general public won't be getting any answers as the information is confidential. Her child would be the only one with a right to know, don't know at what age they would give her that information.

Cause of death information becomes public information 50 years following the death. Prior to that time frame, cause of death is considered confidential by Florida law.

1. ummm, not sure about florida anymore, but every state I know of--ANY unattended death requires an
autopsy.

where have you been that you are not familiar with this?

3. They also do autopsies for sudden unexplained deaths...
at least in Oklahoma they do. My brother-in-law collapsed and died at the hospital. He was only 29 years old. No one knew why until an autopsy.

Families also need to know what happened, too. Not just for closure, but also if there are unknown health problems that could be passed on to their children.

6. They do NOT know if it is a criminal matter until the autopsy!
And some people had a lot to gain by her death. There is motive. This isn't an ordinary death.

8. For me, it's just curiosity. Most people don't drop dead at 39 years of age...
It's that simple.
