1. And they haven't cured the common cold either! |
|
At least not in the past 30 days.
But like impeachment, give it time, I say.

3. I give the Democrats credit, they are doing well... |
|
don't forget they have to change years of a corrupt democracy that started with --- Reagan, with deregulation, etc., and now they have to change everything --- that won't happen overnight. And they have to be careful --- the Repukes created a ticking time bomb, with all these wars --- and Bush and/or someone in his administration ( Libby?) probably sold Bin Laden a --- hundred or more --- suitcase nukes --- prior to 9/11.
The Waxman hearings are excellent.

5. You can get active yourself in the impeachment |
|
movement. Don't wait for Congress. Take Community action now. Go to Democrats.com and see if there is an impeachment committee in your Congressional District, if there isn't one, form one yourself. Contact local Democrats, environmental groups, peace groups, peace churches in your area and get others involved. AfterDowningstreet.org also has some valuable information, also impeachon.org.
Get moving! I'm glad I did.

where exactly are the votes for impeachment going to come from?

8. Wow! A "caller" to Brian Lamb. The Dems had better start impeachment hearings now. |
|
Or is it possible that Pelosi and the other Democratic leaders actually know what they are doing? Investigating and having the hearings which are needed to produce a solid case for impeachment. You cannot simply claim to "know" that impeachment is deserved, it must also be proven. How many here would be satisfied with impeachment without conviction? If a good and solid case is not publicly made with testimony and evidence, there is no chance of conviction and Bush finishes his term. Any tarring of Bush by impeachment will simply be passed off as being partisan politics and many Americans would agree.

9. Only have a short time to prove themselves worthy |
|
The new Democratic legislators who were brought into office to replace the defective Republican ones should know exactly who put them there and why. They have a very short time to prove their worth. After that, it's time to clean house again. The voters won't stand for inaction. We put them there to impeach the president.

11. There is a war going on between the progressive/Dems and the.... |
|
Republican/Dems.
Many Republican/Dems (DLC) got in on Reagan's coat tails. Dean, and the progressive/ Dems are the traditional power in the Democratic party, but that power shifted after JFK to the Repukes --- and the Repuke front group called DLC.
Change will not happen overnight, the Democratic voters have to continue to vote the Repukes --- and the Repuke/Dems out of office like in the 2006 elections.
Dean -- is the greatest thing to happen to the Democratic Party sense JFK.
