I pretty much gave up writing you, since you continually claim you "support the troops," yet support the Iraq War where they are being systematically murdered by those we are supposed to be "protecting," but I find myself in a helpless situation with no one to turn to but you. So here I am writing you again to try to get you to see that the ONLY way to support the troops is to get them OUT of Iraq as soon as possible.

Rep. Green, it is time for Democrats to unite in this matter. It is time for a "surge" of Democrats to come forward and save what is left of our Army, and the lives of our loved ones. Someone has to stop this man, and you and other Democrats are the only ones with the power to do so.

You may have noticed the polls indicate that 76 per cent of the people do NOT approve of Congress. It isn't going to work for you all to stonewall, because no one wants to be the one to end this war, and admit that we have lost it. When I say it isn't going to work, I mean that the people showed their disapproval in the last election, and expected some changes. We have not gotten them, not at all. What do we have here for a Government? We have a Government that does not answer to the people anymore, but only to one man who has lost the support of the people and is on his way to being the most despised President in history.

Once more, I urge you to stand up for what you know is right. You cannot possibly think continuing this war benefits anyone other than the Muslim extremists who are using the occupation to drum up support, and recruit more terrorists from all over the world.

Please do your duty, and work to end this unconscionable war. Congress holds the future of this country in it's hands. IF the people cannot get proper representation, we are no longer a Democracy.
