What do you think....

Would you pay $2500 for this car....I'm thinking it will save me some cash on gas.
It is a standard, had a new timing chain and radiator last year.
1996 Honda Civic DX coupe, 210K, 5 speed, cold air. Perfect condition.

1. A standard? Hell Yeah!
the Honda automatics around that time are usually due for a new tranny right about now - but a stick will serve you well.

2. Pretty good looking. Why don't you pay a few $$ to have it checked by a mechanic?

7. I think I might have started em....
Posted a story about a porn shop in Cleveland, then someone else posted one based on that post....and it snowballed.

Guess I should stick to pic threads in the lounge :)

6. That looks almost exactly like my car.
That's what I paid, too. And I love it. It gets great mileage and handles like a sports car.

8. Super.
When I first got sick a few years ago and the medical bills started piling up....this was the first casualty
(my car was identical to this except it was burgundy), it had leather interior and was fully dressed out. I have to say, giving it up was not easy.:(

I haven't had the opportunity to have another sports car since.
Maybe this will make me feel better

9. What a beautiful thing! That must have been hard .
:(

I love my car. I used to drive TRs and had really been missing the fun of driving, little as I actually do. In my early twenties, lol, I'd get so into the driving that I'd stop talking to my passenger for miles. Please don't rat me out to Al Gore. :)

10. At the time--It was like giving up one of my kids
I've really since given up pretty much on material things...but your hint of a sports car brought those memories racing back, lol.
I could drive that GTA for HOURS. It was a thing of beauty--custom all the way. I remember when my pharmacist asked me if he could take it for a spin, lol.
Then there was the 80 year old woman at the Post Office who was actually COVETING my car in the parking lot.
She was running her hands over it and saying how beautiful it was (I kinda think maybe that it sparked a memory in her as well)...who knows?
Anyway, I think Al would be proud if I parked my Jeep (most of the time) and drove this little Honda around, don't you?;)

11. My husband had a 1955 TR2 and there were like five of them
on the road. When any two of them got together, traffic stopped altogether and the drivers got out and had to ooh and ahh over each other's butterfly valve. It was sort of hilarious and I swear, I was jealous of the damn thing.

And, I think we should just not raise this whole issue with President Gore. lol :)

like a truck.

Your Honda could take any corner much better than that TR. We used to have this thing for old cars. My brother in law had Morgans for a while and I seriously thought about stealing one.
