Why South Carolina Ranks Last
http://goinside.com/01/10/sc.html

and then there's CA's problems...

California Facing Major Teacher Shortage
http://abclocal.go.com/kgo/story?section=politics&id=3846693

"Of the state's 300,000 teachers, one third are over the age of 50. And college students don't seem interested in the profession.

Patrick Shields, Center for Education Policy: "What we're seeing in the California State University system and in the private schools, is a decline in enrollment in the last couple of years."

and this question from YouTube from a former So. Carolina Teacher of The Year,

And besides, the poor girl's education from South Carolina may end up helping that state's teachers which would be a really beautiful thing. But she did look great in a bikini.

5. young people are not coming to teaching anymore
because they are not willing to put up with the crappy pay...the whiny parents...the LITIGIOUS ones...the uninvolved parents and last but not least, the crushing bureaucracy. It just ain't worth it...oh, and some of the students aren't so hot either.

8. Wouldn't it be cheaper to send all the kids to boarding school in India
then the USA will be the best as we descend into an orgy of adult gratification.

10. Nebraska FT starting salary? 22,000. Unbelievable. But it's still a predominately female profession
So they'll continue to pay CRAP.
