Now I wonder *why* this banned alfalfa got planted in 22 counties by over 70 farmers? Do you think Monsanto is gonna be coming out and saying oh, gosh darn it! how on earth did that happen? Of course, you can't unscramble the egg, so they'll be looking for and I imagine finding a jurist that is more amenable to say, the Monsanto school of business. Perhaps a Judge that has a couple of kids that have their hopes set on out o state colleges? Or maybe one that needs a divorce so that retirement will make all those years of the dutiful spouse role worthwhile.

A genetically engineered strain of Roundup Ready alfalfa was recently banned in the U.S. over environmental concerns, but it's already been planted in Bay County, across Michigan and in other parts of the country.
The Center for Food Safety, a national nonprofit consumer and environmental protection group in Washington, D.C., sued the U.S. Department of Agriculture in federal court over the feed crop, developed by the Monsanto Co.
The center and some farmers argue that the strain of alfalfa has potentially dangerous effects on human health, animal health and contamination of conventional alfalfa plants through pollination by bees. Roundup Ready alfalfa is engineered to be resistant to the popular herbicide.
