In today's paper......5000 die |
|
Seventy-six million people in the United States have a food-related illness each year. About 325,000 of them require hospitalization. About 5,000 die. rep. rose DeLauro, D-Conn, chairwoman of the House Appropriations subcommittee on agriculture, vowed to hold a series of hearings on food safety this year following six years in which majority Republicans held only ONE!
Shouldn't there be major outrage about so many people getting sick and some dying because they ate food that is supposed to be safe? Many people still won't eat spinach because of the recent e-coli scare.

1. Too much concern for the stripper who died in a hotel room full of drugs |

2. A better question: Shouldn't there be major outrage that over 12 million people have |

died of starvation around the world in the first 40 days of 2007?

That is a mind-boggling statistic. You never hear of this on the news.

4. Where do you get that figure? |

Just out of curiosity. It's not surprising people ignore that statistic though. It's such a big problem it seems unmanagable. Bryant Check it out --> http://politicalcomment.blogspot.com
