How often must one donate to retain one's donor star?

I haven't donated to DU in a couple of cycles. Various financial hardships have prevented me from doing such in the recent past. I have however, donated twice in the past. I noticed tonight that I've lost my donor star this evening when I went to utilize the search function, a function generally reserved for donors.

Just curious to know how often one must donate in order to retain the various 'donor features' that are available here at DU.
